Ellen and Ken realize that thing you should try to never realize: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is 30 years old. Ellen meets a Hemingway, while Ken does not play mini golf. Ken and Hilliary celebrate their anniversary in Eugene. Ellen has a picnic at the river, and forgets some stuff. Ken misses the Sandy river float. Finally, Ellen watches Netflix.

Traffic sucks on the way to The Subterranean Recording Lair. The Ships are in town, and the heat is on. Ken wants to see a movie made by a computer learning algorithm and gets into a deep smoke alargument. Ellen covers chemtrails and Kingdom of Heaven, and finally, the crew discusses some Zelda.


Bring the monster bait before you go in to Notoriously Unreliable!

Ellen and Ken try to decide when would be the best time to fill your gas tank (spoiler: before it’s empty), then Smart Car crumple zones are examined. Then the team begins their plans for the Star Trek random alien generator. Some time is dedicated to The Outback, but mostly for the barbie, not the Fosters. Ken bakes a damn fine pie, and Ellen professes her love of parachutes.


Run, don’t walk, to the next Notoriously Unreliable!

This week Ken and Ellen sit down, have a beer and cover that old chestnut: TV commercials. Then, they get personal with the names they’ve been called over the years, which (naturally) leads to slide projection technology’s advance. Ken decides to paint his fridge, so it doesn’t get jealous of his dishwasher. Finally, Ellen reports on her viewing of Captain America: Civil War.

Ken gains a lawn and loses a murder-shack. Ellen quits, and watches some anime. Together, they examine superhero movies that they are just not that excited about. Next, they discuss the ins and outs of healthcare and how little messages on forms make people don’t not enter the right thing. Ken makes a Kubb set and we ask our listener to send us some mail.

Life is like a box of chocolates: it’s Notoriously Unreliable!

Ellen and Ken warm things up with some pillow talk, then move on to the finer ways to be picked on as a child… your name. Ellen fondly recalls A Different World, mostly for the flip-up glasses. Then Ellen shares her plans for RCCC and Ken covers his fun at ECCC. The crew compares tattoos and Sesame Street. Finally, Ken’s phone dies, which reminds him to ride his bike.

The team fleshes out the plot of Pong-2, then ponders the question on everyone’s mind: Does Superman even shave? Then the crew reviews Star Trek movie rankings and throws Jack Ryan movie rankings on the pile, you know, to round things out. Ken has a lawn, and Ellen has surgery. Then Ellen gets schooled. Will have got schooled? Will have been schooled? Anyway, the first Kool-Aid sighting of spring occurs.

This week, we have a special guest: Brady! Unfortunately the audio quality is a little off during the first little bit of the podcast due to some technical difficulties, but Ellen dusts off some audio engineering knowledge and gets us back on track. First up: that holiday in March where we drink and run around the city, wearing an eye-patch and installing cabinets for rich folks… Kurt Russell Day! Then we take a trip down Outdated Technology Lane, followed by some serious updog. I mean the updog is all over the place. Then we visit the sketchiest hotel ever, from Brady and Ken’s wild road-trip to San Francisco. The crew borrows a cup of power from their neighbors and visit Ultrazone. Finally the moment Ken’s been waiting all podcast for… The Squeegee Story.

Ellen makes a plan to get sliced up, while Ken gets over the latest round of crud. The team discusses the latest in Worst-Song-Ever technology with our inaugural Letter from our Listener!
